Ben has just finished his PhD and is now a postdoc at the University of Leeds.


Currently, his research centres on improving incorporation of plant protein by characterising oral tribology, aiming to reduce off-mouthfeel and astringency attributes commonly found in plant protein-based foods. This approach offers a sustainable, environmentally friendly alternative to animal proteins or excessively transported proteins.


Ben will serve as the events representative for STLE UK, and shall play a crucial role in coordinating conference venues, meetings, and seminars throughout the year
